Sage 300 2016 and Crystal 2008 reports

Something interesting we found and hopefully I am not the only one.


We upgraded our client to Sage 300 2016 in last year. All old reports (pre-upgrade) are running perfectly on the Workstation install.

However any new ODBC reports that are written from scratch in Crystal 2008 won't work on the Workstation although it works on the server.


The only difference I found was that at one client, one user can run the new report and is working on Windows 10 where the other user working on Windows 8.1 cannot run the new report.  I would think if the OS is the issue none of the reports would work, however the old reports (pre-upgrade) is not giving any issues on Windows 8.1, only the newly written one. I double checked that the report points to the server and not the local desktop. But again one user can run while another cannot and working perfectly on the server.

Any one experience this and any ideas on further troubleshooting?
