OEorddo options table information don't get copied over to subsequent options tables (OEshido/OEinvdo)..

SOLVED

i thought this is all i had to do (see screencap), but it's not working...the rows on the OE order options table just doesn't automatically get copied over to the shipment order table when the order goes to shipment...is there something else that needs to be done?

 really need to get this fixed, accounting and reporting has to do lots of manual work  because of this ..thanks

    You have to define the Optional field(s) in both the Orders and also the Shipping area for it to come over - check that you have done that

    And if you want it to go to the Invoice as well, then define it there as well.

    the optional field is currently defined in Order Details, Shipment Details & Invoice Details  because the APPP optional field we set up is item specific (it's applied on a per item basis...some items on an order might have it, some items on the same order doesn't) ...is that sufficient? or are you saying we have to also define it in the main orders, shipments and invoice area as well...meaning all 6 areas (Order Details, Shipment Details & Invoice Details + Orders & Shipment & Invoice) need to have it defined?

    You just need it on the details - Mine was just and example when I put on the header;

    Are you saying that when you look at the shipment record the field is not there (Have you tried to do a dropdown to see if you can select it)

    if there is no data on the order, then with your setup, the field will not be there on shipments - However if the field has been populated in Orders, then it Must appear on the shipment record.

    If you setup the system so that it is Auto Insert, then the field will always be there.

    yep, NONE of the hundreds of APPP selected items from the order options table transferred over to the shipment options table...the shipment options table remained empty...nothing transferred over.... Auto Insert is current set to "NO" ...1) is that why the APPP flag did not transfer over to the shipping details table  2) are my VALUE SET / DEFAULT VALUE / REQUIRED  below correct if it just want my APPP flag copied over to subsequent tables..(eg if the APPP flag is YES, then just copy it over to shipment & invoice, if it's NULL/empty, then no need to copy it over)

    I am not sure if the auto switch has anything to do with it - it should not, but try it

    as you can see an example on a live site where we use the header (should be same on detail as well)

    when entered on order and changed to a value, it is created on the shipment with the same value - so we have no problems

    Try set to auto insert to see if that makes a difference !!!!

    are you on an old or relatively new version of the system (this is v2014)

    i'll give that a try, thanks...mine is v2012 if that makes a difference
