Hello fellow Sage 300 implementors/customers.

I have run into a very annoying issue with Sage 300 2021 and then with Sage 300 2021 PU1.

I have had this happen on 3 machines now: 1 upgrade (from 2018 to 2021) and 2 brand new servers with fresh installs of Sage 300 2021

Once you install webscreens none of the application pool and default sites would work. They all have a black square next to them. If you look at the event viewer it says the World Wide Web Publishing Service would not start

If you see why that service won't start, it says one of the dependencies will not start either: Windows Process Activation Service.

I have removed and reinstalled IIS but as no luck. Repaired Sage 300. Still nothing.

I sent it to an IT person since it was IIS and I did not want to touch it. All credit to this expert, he found what the issue was and fixed it by removing the lines that were causing the issue. These 3 highlighted lines:

As soon as you delete those lines, you can start both services fine. So not sure if deleting those lines will break something else but just a heads up to engineering at Sage 300!
