You can use the "Sellable" check box on the IC Items screen.  Uncheck and it's not available for sale.

Can you change the quantities by doing it this way? From what I could see, you must select your entire inventory level of that one part.  

You need to Lot Track or Serialize your items to do that.

Some companies set up a QC Location in Sage, and receive into that.  POs for parts that require inspection are issued for Location QC, so that they’re not mindlessly received into regular inventory.  When ready, do an IC transfer to move into other locations.

Autosimply has a QC module that works well, as soon as an item that has been flagged as needing QC is received it does a transfer to a QC location, then it is either accepted or quarantined or scrapped.  If it is accepted it moves back to the location it was initially receipted into otherwise it moves them to the appropriate other location.
