TCP UDP Networking Setup

Hi everyone,

A customer use Sage 300 2021 all programs at server (desktop version) and workstation setup. They will need some users in same network but other remote building to access Sage 300 from Internet using a map ports. And IT guys ask me TCP UDP that use Sage 300? I tell them that's not the way to do it but through Citrix or TS but they insist they want to do a test as those users are not intensive and have day-to-day operations but just consult some info.

Any idea what TCP UDP Sage 300 application use?

Don't do it. Use TS.

Hi Jay,

Yes Im sure of that but any particular TCP/UDP ports must use Sage 300 anyway? Just IT confirm it doesnt work at all. We did a test with VPN instead a lot of years ago and lots of errors and performance awful. In that case its better they change to Web Screen right if not want to use TS right?
