In the summer of 2023, Sage will be making changes to your license verification to utilize a current Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol recommended by third-party standards organizations. This measure is required as older versions of TLS do not meet current security standards and can pose a security risk. If you have a subscription business care plan and are not on a supported version of Sage 300 your software will go into read-only mode. If you are using an unsupported version of Sage 300, please reach out to your Partner or contact Sage Expert Services at [email protected] to discuss upgrading your software.

Given Sage 2023 is due for release this month does that mean Sage 2020 will be considered Unsupported?

Thanks

Great question Stacey, as per usual - thanks for catching this.

We may also need to know about whether Sage 2021 will be considered Unsupported. Depending on your calendar, Summer 2023 (when "Sage will be making changes") can be June 2023 to August 2023, during which Sage 300 2024 is likely to be released.

Thanks for this update. It would help if Sage advised which specific versions of Sage will go into read-only mode, and specifically when they will do so. This is a critical change that customers and partners alike will need absolute clarity on in order to upgrade in time etc. Could you please advise?

Hi I have confirmed with the Sage 300 team that for TLS the versions are 2020.3 and higher that will support TLS 1.2.
