Is anyone else having this issue?

We have been able to populate the "Optional Name - Full Name" field in the Aatrix preparer grid by using the contact page on the vendor, but per Aatrix – for 2023 this cannot be used in lieu of a First & Last Name. They told us that this is a Sage issue and we would have to retype the first and last name for each vendor using a SSN in order to continue through the preparer.

One option that was suggested was to check the "Check if FEIN" box for all vendors - but that will not work for our vendors that utilize a SSN. This changes the tax identification format on the form and transmission file payee B record sent to the IRS.

The First Name and Last Name for 1099 reporting was added to Sage 300 in the December, 2023 Product Update. That is Product Update 7 for Sage 300 2022, Product Update 5 for Sage 300 2023, and Product Update 1 for Sage 300 2024.

The First Name and Last Name fields appear near the bottom of the AP Vendor screen on the Invoicing tab where the 1099 information is configured, after the Product Update is Activated.

This update is, unfortunately, not available for Sage 300 2021.
