inexpensive CRM-type product

Question

A customer on Sage 300 v 2014 does not have the budget currently for SageCRM. They are looking for alternatives that would provide contact management and case management. The want to be able to see Sage 300 transactions in the CRM product, but not expecting to be able to enter transactions in CRM that flow to Sage 300. 
 Their budget is a number they picked out of the air (less than $5K for 12 users). 
 Any suggestions? Other than increasing the budget?

We investigated a number of products for our own use and this one seems to have some good futures, including being relatively cheap. As always you get what you pay for, but if you're looking for contact and case management only then this fits the bill, plus you get online chat and some other goodies.

We use SuiteCRM (basically SugarCRM but open source) hosted internally and we have integrations built using iMan (ETL software) to merge data and work with it between Sage 300 and CRM. iMan has a cost to it but it's marginal. I'm sure it's saved us tons.
