Run Time Error 53 on new install of Sage 500

HI,

I have setup a new server running Windows server 2008 R2 and running SQL Server 2008. This is the same setup that we currently have running.

I have put in the Sage 500 disc and run the foundation install. I go through the settings but when i click 'Next' on the 'Database Login' settings screen it comes up with an

'Run-time Error '53' File not found' error messages and crashes out.

Has anyone come across this before?

Are you logged into the machine using the Local Administrator account? What version of Sage 500 are you installing?

Hi, thanks for the respose. I am logged in as the local administrator.

I am trying to load up Sage line 500 v7.1 but get this error which is frustrating to say the least!

I think v7.1 is actually for Accpac and would recommend you post in that part of the Sage City forum. If you have a support agreement, please call into Accpac support.

I believe Sage Line 500 is a UK product? Please note that these forums on Sage City are for products sold in North America, so the information presented here is specific to that.
