Building a new server for Sage 500 2023 --Will Windows 2022 work

We are building a new server and doing an upgrade from Sage 500 7.6.

On the new server, we are going to use SQL 2019 CU3 (which found is listed as compatible).

But I can't find any documentation about Server and Client Windows OS compatibility.

For the server, will Sage 500 2023 be fine on Windows 2022?

Can clients use Windows 10 or 11?

    Greg,

Yes Windows Server 2022 works, and as you mentioned SQL 2022 is not currently supported due to it coming out after we released.

Clients can use windows 10 and 11 with one small caveat.

With windows 11 if you Turn on "Smart App Control" it will not work. Smart App Control is only able to be turned on if you installed your windows 11 Operating system using the Windows 11 22H2 release so it is not something you can turn on if you applied the 22H2 update. (again only a problem if Smart App Control is On, appears fine in Evaluation(default) and OFF mode)

In the process of addressing this issue as well.

There is a possibility of Adding SQL 2022 in a PU, currently researching that.

    Hope that helps,

    Kevin

Wow --that was fast. Why did I waste time on searching the KBs when I can get this type of targeted response --and so quick! thanks Kevin. that totally answers my question! Have a great weekend!
