Unit of measure consolidation in Sage 500

Has anyone ever ran into a situation where they needed to consolidate two UOMs that are the same?

As an example, half of the inventory is assigned to EACH while half is assigned to EA. Both UOM are the same (each) but under different names. I have not found any tools in Sage 500 to consolidate these and we realize changing UOM is not something recommended. Thought I ask anyway......thanks....

Cesar,  This is probably a non trivial task.  I've done very similar things but this was all through the back end in SQL.  I know Lou Davis and Joe Noll (both post on here) have the skills to do this.  I would offer but I'm not a consultant anymore.  Maybe someone from Sage has an 'easy' idea.  We recently did something similar but in our case it was moving the items to EACH from PACK unit of measure.  It was pretty time consuming.

Thanks John. I ran it by Sage already trying to find an easier way to handle this, or maybe a utility but they also suggested doing it through the back-end and then update all tables associated. I will work with our dev team to come up with a plan, thanks for providing feedback. Cheers! Cesar Varela.
