I need to know if Sage 50 Accounting supports defining multiple locations for an inventory item. Suppose, an organization purchased 50 laptops. Twelve laptops are in warehouseA, 20 laptops are in warehouseB, and 18 laptops are in warehouseC. Now, if I define an item id for laptops, how can I track the inventory by location. A workaround in this case might be to define three item codes, for example, LTA (Laptops in Location A), LTB (Laptops in Location B), and LTC (Laptops in Location C). However, it would be difficult to manage for a large set of inventory items. Is there any other way of tracking inventory by location in Peach Tree/Sage 50 Accounting?
