2018 Sage 50 Accounting Keeps Freezing

Over the past two days 2018 Sage 50 Accounting keeps freezing. After logging into the company I am greeted by the Customer and Sales screen. When clicking on any of the icons present, or using any sub menu item from the top menu bar, the screen goes completely white for about 5 seconds then the windows error message pops up forcing me to close the program.

This is on Build # 25.1.00.0131

Anyone else?

Any solutions?

Any ideas?

I'm looking to see if any updates or patches are available but am not having luck navigating this website. I've restarted the computer multiple times with the same results. The computer is up-to-date. No prior issues until now.

If you are on windows 10, then you need to do a few things.
1. Under the User Account Control force the arrow down to never notify.

2. Right Click on the Sage icon, compatibility tab, Choose to run in compatibility mode for Windows 8 and check the box for run as administrator.

Microsoft Windows 10, your operating system, is constantly changing with every new update. The new updates are destroying the foundation under your program. This is not Sage’s fault. This is happening to many software companies. The permanent fix will be released in the March update.

In addition to what Kim mentioned you may also wish to check the box for DPI scaling.

I am having the same issue. also windows 10. however, I am using dual monitors and the only "fix" at this time, is to disable the 2nd monitor. waiting for a real fix.
