INVENTORY ITEM ON SALES ORDER

Can I automatically reference a purchase order when a inventory item is entered? I basically want to know what purchase order number an item came from when ordered.

Our customer likes to know the original purchase order number for each item..

Also, the yard uses this number to find the oldest product.

I'm using sage 50 accounting US

Which specific Sage software and version are you using? You will want to list that information in your post so we can make sure that it's in the correct Support Group and so that you will be more likely to receive an accurate reply.

No you can't automatically reference a purchase order when a inventory item is entered on a Sales Order. You would have to look up the PO and manually enter the number on the SO.
