Ship-to address changes without a command

When I enter a new sales order and select a different ship-to address than the default ship-to address, it oftentimes changes it back to the default while I'm making other entries within the sales order or upon saving the sales order. Since realizing this glitch, I have had to manually reinspect every non-default-ship-to-address sales order I make to see if it saved with the correct address. I told a Sage customer representative and she said unless it happened while on the phone with her, there was nothing she could do. This has been an ongoing issue for months, duplicating effort and putting me at risk of sending and printing sales orders/invoices with the wrong address on them. If Sage were to fix this glitch, that would be great. The product is Sage 50 Quantum, U.S. Edition.
