Customer Management - Select a Customer - Pull up Customer slow to populate in 2020 but instant in 2019 - Was patch migrated to 2020? This was patched in 2018 for similar issue.
Yesterday we upgraded to Sage 2020. We have state of the art hardware (Server/Clients). Solid State drives in Server and Clients. Under 2019 all queries to database via Sage50 were fast. Selecting a Customer from Pull down in Customer Management was fast in 2019. We upgraded Server and Clients to 2020. Everything went smooth during migration. After upgrade users started to complain that the Customer Management and Maintenance was taking minutes to populate under 2020. In 2019 it loaded instantly. My belief is that the new version lookup code was changed or not migrated to 2020 and it is effecting lookup on large tables. Sage needs to fix this issue asap because upgrading to a new version should improve the system not cause issues that were not present in 2019. Our only option is to go back to Sage 2019 but that would be a monumental task. I would not recommend upgrading to 2020 if you have large customer table or any other large tables.
As you can see below...when you select down arrow Sage50 2020 sits and spins for about 2 minutes until it finally populates. In 2019 it loaded instantly. Please fix your new 2020 code/query or provide a temporary fix until a patch is available. I think new versions also need to be tested on larger then normal data sets.
