Peachtree mapped drives issue upon logging off

I have installed Peachtree 2011 on a new computer and mapped a drive over the network to the server where the data is located. The installation seems to have no problems and the software ran completely fine afterwards. But when I log off my computer and try to open Peachtree again, I get an error stating that I can't access the database through the mapped drive. One thing to note that I get a message before installation that it has detected I have firewall in my computer. I have turned those off before proceeding and even checked the allowed programs to run on firewall after it was installed. The computers where I've installed before didn't have this message and they run completely fine after logging off. Could this be a firewall issue?

Edit1: I forgot to mention I am using Windows 10 and I've heard about the mapping issues with its 1803 version. Three computers are also running on Windows 10 but don't have this problem.

Edit2: I recently reinstalled on another computer and the same firewall message popped up before installation however no problem occurred. I wonder if it has anything to do with the server domain because the pc I tried installing is not part of the server domain, (Windows Home version).

    Erzsi,

I am having a similar issue to kacci's issue- the mapped drive keeps disappearing out of Peachtree 2011. In turn, this generates an error: "Peachtree 2011 cannot connect to the data location". The major difference is that this computer is Windows 10 Pro, not Home.

Currently, the only workaround is to:
    1. Open the .ini for Peachtree 2011
    2. Change the data location variable to the local path
    3. Open Peachtree 2011
    4. Select Browse...
    5. Map Network drive to company data location
    6. Close Peachtree 2011
    7. Open the .ini for Peachtree 2011
    8. Change the data location variable back to the mapped drive
    9. Open Peachtree 2011
    10. Select appropriate company in mapped drive location

Is there a permanent solution to prevent Peachtree 2011 from losing the mapped drive?
