Hi Dennis,  We sell the forms so I wanted to know about the forms too.  Yes, Sage will update the tax tables to accommodate the new NEC forms.  Also, if you have Aatrix, you will not need all of the expensive forms you used to purchase.  You can print all NEC 1099's from the payroll forms module.  They will print like the current W-2's, 4 up to a page.   They system will also pull in the vendor 1099's that you run through the vendor module.  

I actually tried this last week using Sage 50 2021 and 2019 vendors.

I've been following this; I'm very interested as well. It will have to be more than tax tables, right?  It seems like there will have to be Vendor changes, etc to be able to choose the correct form (1099-NEC or the 1099-MISC)? When will the update be issued?

Amy,  If you do payroll through Sage 50, you will be able to run the 1099-NEC through the payroll module if you subscribe to Aatrix.  https://www.bestbusinessstrategies.com/efiling.  The forms you need are 4 up like the w-2 https://www.bestbusinessstrategies.com/tax-forms  If you don't have payroll and Aatrix, you will need to purchase the regular forms that you have historically purchased in the past. 

Suppose I don't do payroll through Sage 50 and do not want to subscribe to Aatrix, when there be an upgrade for subscribers like myself, to be able to choose the correct form (1099-NEC or the 1099-MISC)?

What do you mean by the OLD STYLE FORM?  I thought the new 2020 1099-NEC (due 2/1/21) & new 1099-MISC (due 3/1/21) was required; not optional...

Would like to know the answer to this as well.

The above form is for the vendor.  All other forms are Printed on plain white paper and they can be emailed to the proper US Gov't agency.

Please stop trying to sell forms. I know how to buy forms... Would like an answer to the question as to when there will be an update to Sage 50 to accommodate for the changes in the 1099MISC and the new 1099NEC forms...

Unfortunately, I'm still confused.  We are required to use form 1099-NEC which is different from the 1099-MISC (in your pic I think) .  I can purchase the 1099-NEC forms anywhere, but I am trying to find out if Sage will be updated to provide the 1099-NEC as a print option?  Currently, there is no option to print the data on these forms.
