We currently use Sage 50 since it was Peachtree. The environment consists of standard workstations with NVMe drives on a GB network connected to a dedicated Sage server. While the general population haven't complained too recently, I noticed that it takes upwards of 15-20 seconds to actually open Sage 50 to get to the company selection screen. However, once I'm actually in the company, Sage works fairly decently.
I've done all the usual suspects including all the fixes from all various websites etc including full reloads of Sage server and workstations, new workstations, changing the server, etc. Also, this is similar to whether or not I open Sage on the workstations or the server (removing the variable of the network).
The only exception I've noticed is Sage opens almost instantly (well 2-4 seconds) if I "run as administrator." The other odd thing is, if I'm using an administrator account, it also opens up slowly. I have to actually right click -> run as administrator. Naturally it would be a fairly large security risk to go around handing admin passwords to all the users and I was wondering if anyone else has similar issues or found any solutions?
