Due to several issues we've faced with Sage 50 US on the Cloud, we're thinking to migrate to a Server.
What are the requirements the server has to meet?
Also wanted to ask, if the Server version of Sage, will support multiuser access and updates?

You can read the current system requirements here.
When properly installed, Sage 50 will support multiple users over a local network with no need for the cloud feature "Sage Drive" or "Remote Data Access" as it has now been renamed. The cloud sharing is only needed when you want to share your data with users outside your office. If you need to share your data with users outside your office and Sage Drive isn't working well for you, you could look into setting up a Remote Desktop (AKA Terminal Services) or Citrix server or you could switch to a hosting service.
Here is a link to our resource vault. It has the minimum requirements for the server. I always suggest solid state drives and much more RAM than the minimum requirement. Also get the best processor you can afford.
Hi Jose Luis,
We are actually evaluating the opposite, moving from network share in a server to the Remote Data Access cloud service, this is mainly due to the fact our users are now 90% remote (thank you covid) and working remotely over VPN with the database on a network share is way too slow.
Could you please share what where those issues you experienced that made you decide to migrate away from the cloud service?
Thanks!
We offer Sage 50Cloud and Hosting Services. If we can help you please feel free to reach out.
