How to edit the cost method for a Stock Item?

Good day to everyone,

I am currently using Sage 50 accounting 2018 quantum, the in-house version.
In a company we put several items as import, but now that I see it well, I can't edit the cost method of a Stock Item, or someone moved something, or it's not possible to edit that part?

I would appreciate your help

    The Cost Method of an Item cannot be changed once the Item has been saved (added) to Inventory. You can always mark that Item as INACTIVE, and change its ID, and then set up a new Item with the old ID, with the proper Cost Method. Any Quantities on Hand can be moved between the two Items using Inventory Adjustments.
