I need to add a custom date field to our invoice form. This is to note software expiration date. I also need the ability to sort invoices by that date, so I'm guessing the Customer Note field will not suffice. Thoughts?

There isn't a clean way to do this in Peachtree itself.
However, there are few things that come to mind.
1. use a recurring invoice and have a new invoice recur on the renewal date.
2. Use the due date field. this is a lousy option but it could be made to work if you are willing to give up on the use of the due date
3. Use the note field and store any number of things there, preferably in XML format
for example <RenewalDate>2022-07-05 </RenewalDate> <LicenseCount>10</LicenseCount>
then use Mercury to extract display custom views of just about any data in your database in a sortable, pivotable
sorry, the custom note is not specific to an invoice.
you can use a description only item and enter the expiration data as a description. that can extracted and sortable in Mercury.
You could use the Customer PO field as a date. Then you can add the Customer PO Field on the Sales Invoice List by choosing "Settings" and selecting Customer PO under the available columns click add, so it appears under the selected columns.
