INTEGRATION: Inventory (with kits) sent from Sage50 to website and marketplaces (ebay/amazon)

SUGGESTED

Hello, I run an online-only business, and we use Sage50

I am looking for a way to have Sage send my inventory to my custom website, as well as marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon

I currently use custom software that is full of bugs, and I am looking for a 3rd party program/app that can handle this function.

I currently use shipstation for printing and shipping all orders

This has driven me nuts because we keep having to cancel orders because we sell a lot of kits, and we will sell a kit, but we are missing one item of the 3 or 5, that comprise the full kit. If the software can dela with showing accurate numbers, that would be excellent!

    Hi Ray,

    Apologies for the slow reply.

I author the CartSpan ecommerce integration for Sage 50 and QuickBooks accounting systems, which has functionality that will meet your specified needs.

CartSpan as the ability to determine how many of a given assembly (kit) you could safely offer online by factoring first-level BoM item quantities. This resolves your "10 items left, used by 20" quandary referenced above.  CartSpan will also push stock levels for individual items (that may be contained in kits) to the ecommerce system.  Here is a blog post that describes the process in greater detail.

Normally, CartSpan can be run in near-real-time, updating stock values online within 90 seconds.  But given the more involved calculations referenced above, a maximum update frequency of 15-30 minutes would apply based upon the size of your product catalog.

I've been doing this for quite a while now, but have never crossed paths with Shopping Cart Elite.   At first glace, I like their message and they appear to have a well-developed API for these types of integrations.

For QuickBooks users, CartSpan already has capability to automatically create assemblies during the order import process.  This could also be extended to Sage 50 if you are interested in sharing the cost of development.  To distinguish these offerings from real assemblies, we could make it configurable to flag on the text 'kit' in the item description.

If interested, feel free to give me a call at the number listed at the top of the CartSpan website and we can chat further.

    Thanks,
    Scott Wheeler
