If you mean you'll need to transfer the license due to a sale of the business the license can be transferred to the new ownership -- you'll need to contact Sage and they have a form that would need to be completed to put the license into the new ownerships name.

If it is change of ownership of the company, they should purchase a NEW program.   The person that owns the company may need the program and the data to prepare a tax return in the future.  They would also need the information in the event that they are audited.   Since Actian Zen, the engine that runs Sage 50 counts the installs, the original owner would need their own license to put the program on their computer. 

The New Contact Change Form.pdf  may be used if you have new employees in the existing company.  It can not be used to transfer the company to another person.
