Test installation

SUGGESTED

I am currently running an on-premise instance of Sage50 on bare-metal and would like to migrate it to a VM. Is there any way to install the software either without a license or with a trial one in order to do performance testing prior to migration? Or, is it possible to use my existing license with this new install without affecting my current instance?

    Hi

Thanks for reaching out! While we don't offer an installable trial version specifically for performance testing, there is a Sage 50 US online demo available that you can explore. You can take a test drive of the software by clicking on "Take a test drive" in the top right Point righthere.

You are not restricted in the number of installations of the program, but the user license count does limit how many users can simultaneously access company data. See this article for details.

If you have a single-user licensed program, it should only be installed on one computer in accordance with the End User License Agreement (EULA).
With a multi-user licensed program, you can install it on multiple computers, as long as the number of computers accessing the program does not exceed the maximum number of licenses purchased. For example, installing on a server and two workstations would require a two-user license.
In a network environment, the program can be installed on a server and up to the number of workstations equivalent to the maximum number of licenses purchased.

For specific details about migrating your on-premise instance of Sage50 to a VM or any other inquiries regarding your license, it would be best to chat with support. You can also find the End User License Agreement (EULA) on our website. Hope this helps!

I have a multi-user license. I am interested in doing a 2nd server installation for the aforementioned purpose.
