Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you're having trouble with Sage 50's pause sharing feature. If you haven't resolved the issue yet, here are some steps you can take:
Resume Sharing: You'll need to log in to the computer that paused the sharing initially. Once logged in to Sage 50 on that computer, you can resume sharing the paused company.
Multiple Computers: If you're not sure which user paused sharing, you'll need to log in to Sage 50 on every computer that has access and try to resume sharing.

It is my computer, so logged in as read only, but under the remote Data Access it shows me as user, but the Stope Sharing option is grayed out, so can't slect

I misread your instructions, I am not the data owner, so I will get with him and have him enter his login credentials, and see if that works.
Also, do you know how to change the data owner? The current one is leaving the company and we need to change to someone else.
Thanks for that update, sounds good. To change the Sage account email that is associated with the shared company in Remote Data Access, this article advises to contact support.
