Shared Companies

My client and I recently downloaded the current version of Sage 50. He shared the company file and I can see it out there as a shared company, but it has a message that the owner must upgrade the company version before you can access. Since we appear to have the same version, what are the options to resolving this issue?

    Thanks for reaching out about the issue with accessing the shared company file in Sage 50. It seems like the host station sharing the company data may be on a lower version than the one you are using.

    To resolve this, both you and your client should check for updates on your respective Sage 50 installations:

    1. Go to 'Services' and then 'Check for Updates'.
    2. Allow any available updates to download and install.
    3. If prompted, let the company data convert to the updated version.
