When you are entering a sales order or invoice for drop shipment is there a way to start purchase order right from the order or invoice?
Options -> Default -> Inventory Items -> Ordering tab -> bottom section -> check the box for enable auto creation for drop ship
When you create a sales order, check the drop ship box, and the PO will be created. You have to have a preferred vendor ID assigned to the item for it to work. It is also important to know that the PO created will pull in the description for purchases on your item. It will not include any notes or modifications you made on the sales order. You will still have to manually add that info, but it still saves SO much time.
