Remote data access

Am I supposed to receive an email notification when a client has shared their company with me via Remote Data Access? I have not received an email and I watched the client share the file with me and I double-checked my email. I also do not see the file when I log in. Any ideas of what the problem is?

    Thanks for your question regarding Remote Data Access. If you are expecting to receive an email notification after a client shares their company with you and have not received it, there could be several reasons why this has happened.

    First, please make sure to check your spam or junk mail folder to ensure the invitation didn't end up there. Additionally, it's essential to confirm with the client that they used the correct email address associated with your Sage account when they set up the sharing.

    If everything is correct on those fronts, try the following steps to access the shared company file:

    1. Go to File, then Connect to a Shared Company.
    2. Enter your Sage account email address when prompted.
    3. Look for the company you're trying to access in the Shared Companies window.
    4. Select the company and click Connect to download the company file.

    Please note that for the best performance with Remote Data Access, you should have high-speed Internet access, ideally with download speeds of at least 20 Mbps and upload speeds of at least 10 Mbps.

    If the company is still not visible in your Shared Companies list, I recommend reaching out directly to Sage support for further assistance, as there could be issues that need to be looked into on their end.
