Issue with Sage 50 Premium 2014 and 2015 and 64 bit PC

I am having an issue with Sage 50 Premium 2015 and my 64 bit, Windows 7, PC's. I have two 32 bit Windows 7 PC's and Sage 50 Premium 2015 installs and functions without issue on those 2 PC's. I have 4 64 bit Windows 7 PC's and Sage 50 Premium 2015 doesn't function correctly on those PC's.

2015 appears to install okay (as did the 2014 version), although it takes hours for Step 3 to complete which is not the case on the 32 bit PC's, but it does eventually complete and there are no error messages during the process. The first indication you have that something is wrong is when you go to open the product. The first time you open it you receive an error "An Error has Occurred in the Script on this Page, Script Error Line 26 C:\xxxx\what's new" and you have to select Yes or No. No matter which one you select, the What's New screen pops-up the first time and when you close it (and you have to close it using the "X" in the corner you can't close it from the screen) you receive another message that says something like "Peachtree cannot connect to the database". In 2014 and 2015 I edited the Registry to set the What's New message option to 1. This turns off the What's New pop-up and appears to resolve that issue. However, the desktop and status bar icons installed no longer work so you have to go to peachw.exe and send a desktop shortcut to the desktop and rename it properly and we have discovered that Web Sync Wizard will also not work on the 64 bit PC's. It does work on the 2 32 bit machines. 

I have installed the latest update to 2015. I made sure the UAC settings were at "Never Notify" before the install and virus software is off/disabled. I've been in contact with tech support and we've been through all this plus an uninstall and reinstall, several repairs, and reinstalling into a new named folder. Same result every time, error message, icons don't work, web sync wizard doesn't work.

As I've mentioned, these are 64 bit PC's running Windows 7 OS with IE 11. 

I believe the What's New pop-up connects to the Internet in some way, as Web Sync wizard would. So does anyone know, is there a compatibility issue with IE 11, or with 64 bit PC's or ?? and what did you do to resolve it, if you were able to resolve it.

Right now my work around is the CEO prepares payroll on his 64 bit PC and goes to another to use Web Sync Wizard, but I'm going to eventually have to replace the remaining 32 bit machines and need to find a solution.

    Its possible installation never complete, or some files were not installed correct. Click here for more details.

    Try this on one 64bit OS computer. Download new install files from this link  http://cdn.dlm.na.sage.com/sage50usedition/6874/sage50_2015.1.exe

    Make sure to log in Windows as Admin, Uninstall Sage 50 from that computer, then using new installer files reinstall Sage 50 making sure Program paht is C:\Program Files (x8)\Sage\Peachtree.

    If this works you can reinstall on remaining 64bit OS.

    Unfortunately, I have already done all of this. I have also spoken to several Tier I technicians and a Tier II technician and the Tier II technician has concluded that we are one of a growing number of users who have this issue and it has now moved to the category of 'known issue' without a resolution. This is very unfortunate and hopefully there will be a resolution soon. I would also warn anyone attempting, with support technicians, to resolve the issue, the attempted resolutions caused significant registry errors causing me to have to Restore computers from Safe Mode twice. So be sure and backup the registry before any changes are made.

    This is my official mea culpa - the issue was with the PC"s. I made our PC supplier provide me with a brand new unit with Windows 7 installed out of the box, not from their image, and Sage 50 installed without an issue. Even though the problems I was having mirrored a known issue Sage 50 is having where the What's New screen does function properly and Web Sync Wizard does not work, the issue is something in the image the PC provider was using. That image stopped the Internet based functions from working properly. At this time the PC provider has not indicated what was stopping these services from installing, but is replacing all the newly installed PC's.
