What is the error?

"An unexpected error occurred while copying your report to Microsoft Excel"

When you click Excel from the top of the report, make sure you have the following options selected:

- Create a new Microsoft Excel workbook

- Use Freeze panes

- Show header in Excel worksheet

- Raw data layout

Let me know if that gives the same error.

- Also, what version of Excel?

I did all of that and got the same message.  It is Excel 2013.  It has been working just fine up until a week ago and I can't pinpoint anything that I have done recently that would have caused an issue.

When you open Excel, and type a character or 2, then click Save--what is the file extension it tries to save with?

make sure it is .XLSX

- If it isn't you can click File at the top left of Excel

- Click Options

- Click Save on the left hand side

- Confirm the "Save files in this format:" option

- Should be Excel Workbook (*.xlsx)

It is in the correct format, the default is normal view, I am using a compatible version of Office and Excel.  It has been working just fine for the past 8 months.  I am not getting why it suddenly isn't.  I have also tried turning off the UAC as was suggested by someone else. Nothing has helped.

- My suggestion would be to create a new Windows user (with administrator rights), and login with that account to create a new profile

- Test it from that profile

- You could always try to uninstall/reinstall office

I have uninstalled and reinstalled...did not help.  Could you tell me the steps to creating a new windows user--not sure how to do that.
