What options do I have to utilize API for grabbing real time data?

SUGGESTED

Wondering if anyone has experience with an integrator or service that could help me pull real time data out of Sage 50? For example, a high-level goal would be to display an open orders report compiling new sales orders as they are entered and pulling order values, due dates and data from the internal notes field which we use to communicate notes related to past due orders.

I am pretty well-versed in Sage 50 itself, but pulling data in real time is a new one to me and big project.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks,

Phil

You have a few options. If you simply want to dashboard the results, or compile them in a report/spreadsheet that is always up to date, then you could consider using the Zapier integration for Sage 50 from Commercient. Commercient's IoT Gateway is just going into beta and will allow customers to connect their Sage software to over 750 other Apps online without any coding! Commercient's IoT Gateway connects your Sage software to the 750 most popular apps on the web using Zapier.com.

The connections are made up of two parts: a trigger (the thing that starts the wheel rolling) and the action (the result you wish to take). It sounds to me like your are lookging for something like this: When an open order is created or updated, and is still open (the trigger) save the invoice data into a Google or Excel spreadsheet (the action). From there you can build your dashobards/graphs and reports online and centralized. Out of the 750 apps on Zapier there are full cloud dashboarding apps available too.

With Zapier and Commercient for Sage 50 you can decide on your own workflows in a point and click fashion, no coding necessary. There is a free beta program that just opened up for using Zapier and Sage 50 from Commercient. Here is the link for the beta access: www.commercient.com/.../
