Once the periods have been set there is no way in Sage 50 to change them. I was going to suggest that you restore the backup that was made before closing so that you could redo your closing and set the periods correctly, but then I noticed that 2016 is the first of your two open years. That would mean that you would have to go all the way back to when 2014 was closed, because that is when the periods were created for 2016. I see you also have a similar problem at the beginning of 2017.

A data repair specialist can change your fiscal calendar for you. Or if you can live with the awkward reporting for a couple of month (and again for the first 2 months of 2017), you will have the opportunity to correct it for 2018 when you close 2016.
