We're excited to share the release of Sage BusinessWorks 2021.0.18 and Sage BusinessWorks 2023.0.4! These are the new payroll tax updates and are replacing Sage BusinessWorks 2023.0.3 and Sage BusinessWorks 2021.0.17
What's new:
This release includes 2024 payroll tax updates and should not be installed until 2023 W-2s and year-end processing is complete. This service pack does include a database update. After you install the service pack you will need to run the database update for all of your companies.
IMPORTANT notes about this service pack:
- If you are in Alabama and need to configure the Alabama Overtime Exemption, see Alabama Overtime Exemption effective 1/1/2024.
- If you were on 2023.0.3 or 2021.0.17 and processed payroll that displayed the incorrect vacation and sick hours see, Vacation earned and taken incorrect after payroll processing.

Important: If you use third-party products that integrate with Sage BusinessWorks, check with the vendor of your third-party product to ensure their product is fully compatible with this release. If you integrate with other Sage products, check with your business partner or Sage to ensure that these components are compatible.
- Visit the Sage BusinessWorks Download Portal and select to download the appropriate service pack for your version.
- To verify your version select Help, About
- If you are prompted to log on, enter your Customer Portal Username and Password, and then click Log on.
