Vince has been most helpful, but please look up articles 51648, 80087, 51629, and 17283. These articles are following up on what you and Vince have been discussing. If your BWDATA folder is retrievable from your old server, copy the contents of the folder into the new install BWDATA folder. Then rerun installation on the server.
In order to restore data to Sage BusinessWorks, it either needs to be a backup performed in Sage BusinessWorks, or copy the BWData as mentioned above. If you have a third party backup, you may have a problem. We would recommend that you contact Customer Support 1-800-447-5700, option 3.

janice, that is exactly what we ended up doing-i know vince was trying to be helpful, but i dont think he ever fully caught on to what i was saying about our backup that we had-but the process you described was what we did, and when you do the reinstall it picks up the information from the data files, inserts it into the program, and there it is....thank you for your input!
