Sage Businessworks Paya Failure

SUGGESTED

Just got off the phone with Paya and they are no longer supporting the ability to view stored credit cards and allowing Sage Business Works to process a transaction using the method of retrieving card numbers from the vault and manually processing a transaction. I was told that it will still store the card info but we can't view it after it has been stored. We have to call Paya to get the card number and then process the transaction. Something about PCI changing the rules again.

Does anyone have a solution for an off-premise secure vault? that doesn't require a Microsoft tech to be involved with PCI certs

Paya is aware of an issue with their lastest update causing the credit card numbers to display encrypted even in the Vault.  They are currently working on a solution.  At this time there is no resolution.  If you need the credit card information, you will need to get the information from the customer again.  Paya will resolve the problem as soon as they are able.

The vault for storage is still supported, it’s just broken right now.

    Sincerely,

    Coleen

If its PCI compliance blocking you, it would be standard practice only to allow the last 4 numbers. Remember, the blame game shifted a few years ago to the Vendor, Whom is responsible for the transaction if its fraud.

We use an outside service  called First MCS - Payment Solutions in St. Charles, IL  - using a virtual terminal (web interface) even the admin cannot see parts of the whole number , I think they see the 1st 4 and the last 4 ex.  1234-XXXX-XXXX-1234
