Is anybody else finding the data entry screens to be slower in v20 than v19?

SUGGESTED

I especially notice a lot of lag in:

- payroll timecard line entry

- A/P invoice entry lines

- querying vendor/payroll/client/job records

Is it just me?

Yes - it is absolutely slower. Not to mention the program itself takes waaaay more space on our server. Not a great side effect!

Please check have your IT people research any slowness. It may not necessarily be a Sage issue, but could be an antivirus scanning issue or the Microsoft SQL Express program settings.

Is there anything in particular I should have my IT manager look for?

Not everything is slower. For instance, the "Dashboard" populates with data faster than v19 did. When I open the "Vendors" window (or other windows), they open just fine.

For instance, when I am entering an A/P invoice, all the header fields (date, vendor, description) fill just fine.

Down in the detail section, the Description, Quantity and Amounts fields work fine. But when I select "account" and "subaccount", those are the fields that slow down. And sometimes when I accept the "account" entry, Sage just skips over the "subaccount" field (yes, it is an account that has subaccounts defined) and goes to the next line. Then I have to click back over to the subaccount field to enter the info.

It must be a Sage issue as there are more than a few of us with the issue. I tried getting tech support to help but they had no answers and neither did my IT guy. Everything else works fine!

Is there any other answer or suggestion to this issue. Productivity is being affected by how slow the grids are. I have a video showing Sage "NOT RESPONDING" and that it is ONLY slow in the grids. I will send it to you if it will help, but this has to be addressed and not set aside. There are 3 sec delays for each time you hit enter and is slowing us down. It should only take me 30 secs to produce an invoice and not 3 minutes!!!!!! PLEASE HELP !!!!
