I assume that you are on 2017 and prior?  In that model, put the custom reports on the menu.   Then use role maintenance to define who sees what reports (the custom reports on the menu will show up as an item that you can give/deny access to.

In 2018 and above you also have the ability to have different report settings which can have different formats associated with them. I don't believe there is a way to restrict those,  but you can still do what I mentioned in the above paragraph.

Thank you for your response.  I believe my problem is the opposite.  I need to restrict some of the canned reports.  Would the advice be the same here?

Replace the report with a customized version and that is what everyone will see.  (Beware that reports in the MAS90\Reports\ folder may be overwritten by updates / patches).  Framework reports can use a PrintedByUser formula field to set hard-coded permissions within the report file, but whether that is an option for your reports depends on the module / report.

ODBC security can restrict access to data sources.  v2018 has features to protect personal data by Role permissions with automatic masking of some fields automatically.  Sage U has some videos on the subject.

I'm still not entirely clear exactly what you want here.   Are you in 2017 or 2018 (it really does make a difference because of the upgrade of the job cost module)?   Can you name a specific report you don't want someone to print?

Tom, thank you for your patience.  I am using Sage 100 2017 v20.7.  The report I want to restrict use on is 6-1-2-41 Job Cost Journal by Cost Code. 

That looks like Sage 100 Contractor, which is a different program than Sage 100 (formerly known as ERP).
