When we self preform change order work on a project, is there a way to tract those labor and material costs separately without having to create a phase or use a new cost code? I've tried both of those methods and I'm just not loving either way.

Hi when the work is self performed you can charge labor and materials (cost types). If someone else is doing the work it should be cost type 4 for subcontractor.

Hi Char!
Yes, that is how we currently handle it. But, when an architect wants to track the changes on a separate line on the pay app, the only way I can differentiate between material for the original scope and material in the same cost code for a change, is to note that its for a change in the description of the material invoice entry.
I was hoping someone had figured out a way to "post" self preformed time and material to a change order, similar to how we post to a subcontract or purchase order.
I hope that makes sense...?
