Posting payroll

I am trying to post the payroll records but I'm getting the message that there are no payroll records to be found. I have completed a final compute on the records and when I go in to view each record, it tells me it's computed (not posted) so I'm not sure why I'm getting the message that there are no payroll records found.

Hi Michele,

If you went straight from computing to posting, it sounds like you may not have assigned check numbers to the records yet. This is normally done when printing the checks, or you can manually type in Check#s in the records in 5-2-2. If these are direct deposit records, you can assign the Check#s in 5-2-5. A payroll record must have a valid Check# (not 0000) before it can be posted to the GL.
