You could probably just add the pieces of equipment in Exactime as employees

I don't think this would solve the problem. It could record hours against a bogus employee, but I would think the poster wants the info to go to Equipment Costs and Allocation. So the details need to be entered in appropriate fields in Daily Payroll or Field reports. I don't think Exactime can do this.

But you can allocate equipment in daily payroll, all they have to do is use their equipment numbers as employees and then copy the info from the wrong columns to the equipment columns.  It might take a little effort.  

We too have been frustrated with this lack of compatibility.  We have requested this functionality with Exaktime multiple times since 2017, but have since given up.  We have been manually entering the equipment into the Equipment Allocation section in Daily payroll off of the Exaktime reports.  We use the equipment number on the same line item as we enter the employee payroll, it does NOT require a phony employee, and it posts to the equipment.  :)  I have made contact with a company called Busy Busy for this very reason, but have not had time to look into their product yet.  I can certainly forward my contact information if you are interested.  This issue is a time consumer.

Our business partner has HH2 on their website for supporting programs so we'll be looking at that as well. 

Out payroll department would like to go back to all paper instead of the frustration they are dealing with right now. (Part of that is field supervisors not buying in also.)

Time consumer is spot on. I wish we had invested more up front instead of burning points with our employees.

We use mJobTime for both labor and equipment tracking and we haven't had importing issues into Sage 100 Contractor.

Darla, What do your field employees think of it? 

They don't have any problems with it.  It is pretty easy to use.  We have Hispanic workers and it is also in spanish, so that is nice too.  The foreman is able to punch his crew in and out and you can also purchase a daily log module if you want them to track their materials that they use on the job site.
