How does one print timecards?

SOLVED

How does one print timecards?

5-2-2 doesn't have an option to print individual time cards for posted paychecks. How are y'all accomplishing this task?

Thanks,

    Hi James,

If you click the print icon in 5-2-2 (or go to File, Print) and you are on a particular payroll record, you will see that payroll record number in the Record# field in the printing screen. This will only print that one timecard record.

    Thank you,

So 30 employees would require 150 mouse clicks?

Is there a way to print a week's worth of time cards with less repetitive motion injury risk?

Yes. In the print screen for 5-2-2, you can type in a record# range, employee range, check date range, etc. to print a batch of timecards

But that does not print them each on their own page for attachment to a pay stub and filing in their payroll folder.

    Any other ways?

The report does not do that by default, but that can easily be modified:

    - In the 5-2-2 report printing screen, highlight the report on left you want to run

    - Click the button for Modify Report

    - In the designer screen, at the top, change the selection for the "New Page" dropdown to "On Group1"

    - Go to File, then Save

    - Change the last two digits of the filename to a number from 01 to 20 (example 05020201); if on a shared database, select the option to save as a shared report so all users can access it

    - You will now see your modified report in the list for the 5-2-2 reports to print (at or near the top)

    - Run this report and there should be a page break between each timecard record

If you need help with this process, i would recommend calling Sage 100 Contractor phone support at (800)866-8049.
