Pervasive Software Registry Key - need to rename for every new workstation installation

Has anyone else experienced after installing a new workstation client since upgrading from (15 to 16) and (16 to 17) they have an issue when accessing the company data? Refers to a Pervasive error 94.

In both cases we need to rename the Local Machine Registry Key Pervasive Software to something like PervasiveOLDSoftware. Once that is done we can access the company files OK and no further action is required.

Just an annoyance but was wondering if there is a solution or others experiencing this issue.
