Sage DM Stand Alone Question

SOLVED

Hello All,

Before we install the 18.4 version of Sage in early 2020 we are going to set up the Standalone copy of DM for image retrieval.  I had one question from the Sage instructions in that the instructions specifically mention using version 18.22 as the Sage version on the standalone machine.  We will be upgrading from 17.1 to 18.4 on our production machine so the DM version on there will be 17.1 at time of uninstall.  Should I not put 17.1 on the stand alone machine in this case or will it not matter and the Dm Database will still come up on 18.22 despite never having been on that version to start off with.

Thanks

    Hi Jeff,
Yes, you need to use version 18.2.2 for the standalone (this version allows you to have Desktop on the system w/ out having to use any of your accounting licenses on the system). The piece for how to deal w/ DM if you are on 16.1 or 17.1 and moving to this is covered in the article, way down at the bottom of the resolution (step 12 - you'll use the DM 18.2.2 image to upgrade your files on this new standalone).
