How do you setup a PTO accrual in payroll?
Hi Tina,
Can you be more specific in what you are trying to setup as far as PTO?
Will there be an accrual calculation in the 2021 upgrade that will manage and track the new (HFWA ACT) that will start for all employees on 1/1/21?
Did anyone ever provide this info? I am looking for it myself.
See KB article 107281. It's geared towards the NYS sick pay requirements, however, you can use any names/descriptions you want for the PTO. This just shows how to setup the accrual of the time.

There are a number of articles in Sage's Knowledgebase that address PTO (Vacation and/or Sick Pays) and more recently how to pay and report on COVID related pays. The one I like best for generally setting up PTO is 22019 (see the link to the pdf at the bottom). Two that would seem to be directed to your questions (Colorado Sick as well as COVID) are 107894 (for Sick Pay in CO) and both 103997 and 110512 (for setting up COVID pays). There are additional articles that answer questions on reporting on COVID pays. There are other articles that assist with creating formulas for report PTO on paystubs or other reports and how to get PTO to use a standard rate, etc.
