Was there a change to how My Assistant Handles Social Security Numbers and how do I fix?

SUGGESTED

We have a My Assistant Report that is emailed to our tax credit consultant that includes the first 3 digits of employees' social security number.  After we updated our system to 20.3 in mid December, the reports that are emailed have "XXX" instead of the first 3 digits of the social security number.  The report prints fine through crystal report and I can email the report through our email system to the recipient without a problem.. the problem only occurs when the report is generated through My Assistant and emailed through My Assistant.  I have modified the crystal report to show every variation of the social security number, but it will not display any of the first 5 digits of the SSN... It will show the last 4, but not the first 5.  I have called support and they have no clue.

Anybody have any asnwers?

Check the Security Settings for each user. In Role Setup look at the Tasks /Common Tasks / Security / View Social Security Numbers.

It is probably enabled for the Sage user running the report in Crystal Reports and unchecked for the Sage user that My Assistant uses to run the email reports.

    See KB ID 21311

Thank you... I did look at the security settings and I do have access to the social security numbers under my security level... I noticed that when I log into My Assistant, it does not ask me for a sign in and so I honestly don't know whose credentials it is asking for when logging into My Assistant.

In My Assistant workstation or My Assistant Designer

Click File < Options < Sage 300 CRE Data Folders is where the Sage 300 user is stored

Thank you... I found the user name and I updated the security to make sure it had access to the social security number, but I still can't get the emailed report from My Assistant to show any of the first 5 digits of the social security number.  I even used some variable formulas within crystal reports to try to create a formula to copy the social security and see if it would print, but no luck.

Again, this recently happened when we updated SAGE 300 to 20.3 (however, My Assistant is still version 20.1 - Apparently that did not get updated when we updated the rest of sage 300 in mid December).

You may also want to add the report to the Sage menu and see how it displays when it's run from within Sage. You can then run it from the Application or Information Assistant with the same user configured in My Assistant and see if there are still differences in the output.
