When updating from 22.2 to 23.1 I get an error 23.1 Update1 Not Applied Patch is invalid for currently installed software.

When updating from 22.2 to 23.1 I get an error 23.1 Update1 Not Applied Patch is invalid for currently installed software. I followed knowledge base Solution ID 231218231120420 Error: "Patch is invalid for currently installed software." when installing an update" Following these directions my SuiteVersion is correct. Why will it not update?

Note: The SuiteVersion string is per generation and does not have to match the exact 300CRE version number.

At each workstation that receives this issue confirm the value of the SuiteVersion string located on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Sage\SuiteChainer key.

Version 23 should have 23.1.0.

Version 22 should have 22.1.0.

Hi Stephanie,

It looks like you have 22.1 installed and are trying it install an update for 23.1 on to it. You have to install 23.1 before you can install any of the updates for 23.1.

However 23.2 is now available and includes all of the updates for 23.1, so you can upgrade to that version and be up to date.
