Timberline Office / Sage 300 / Version 9.7

In advance of closing 1099 year, backed up data which indentified corrupted files. Ran file doctor and saved to file.  Tried to view file and received the following error message:  Unable to load the company infomation from the system database due to the following error:  An error occured while retrieving the data for entity PasswordPolicy and operationSet GetPasswordPolicy in Entity Service:: GetEntityData.  

Sage no longer supports this version.  I've contacted the company indicated by Sage many times today, but still no response.

Anyone encountered this error before?  How to fix?

    You can access the knowledge base from any application from the Help, web resources, Sage Online

    Log in to the knowledgebase

    your email adress is your ID and then enter your password

    if you dont recall your password select, reset password and a temporary password will be emailed to you

    Once you are logged into the KB, enter ID 25022

    or I could also email it to you

    I finally got into the knowledge base, but saying there is not a match for the 25022.

    So, yes please, email to me.

    One other question....regarding our License #...is it the same as our Account #?

    Also I wanted to clarify - 9.7 is not supported meaning we are not releasing updates for that version, and the answer to a support issue you run into may be "you will need to upgrade" - that does not mean you can't get help. If you have a Silvercare or Goldcare support plan you can call support at 1-800-551-8307 and speak to a support representative that can assist you by phone, even remote is with you to see what you are seeing!.

    And to answer your question - your Account number is a 10 digit number starting with 4. Your license number or activation code will be different.
