CARES Act: U.S. Payroll reporting for Sage 300 CRE

For information about the CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act and how to obtain reports from Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, see KB article 104167 How can I provide Payroll reporting for the CARES Act (H.R. 748)?

  • The Aatrix report for the 2nd quarter 941 form doesn't seem to be calculating correctly...has anyone used this form for reporting?  Specifically line 7 that gives a red box that is supposed to be for rounding...our box has 53, 000 dollars in it!  That can't be correct!

I’ve completed my Q2 941 report. If you have any employees that were paid FMLA through the CARES Act and deducted those costs from your 941 Deposits, you need to fill out Worksheet 1 to properly account for those deductions. Otherwise, it puts the difference in Fractions of Cents rather than the CARES deduct line.

WE DID NOT DEDUCT ANYTHING FROM OUR WEEKLY DEPOSITS.  WE ACCUMULATED TO TAKE AT THE END OF THE QUARTER.  THIS IS WHERE WE ARE FINDING AN ISSUE.  HOWEVER, WE DID DO AN UPDATE AS SUGGESTED BY SAGE AND DOWNLOADED TAX UPDATE AS WELL. WE WILL TRY AGAIN TODAY TO SEE IF THAT ISSUE IS CLEARED UP.

    Hi Majotmech,

If you are claiming tax credits for COVID related expenses, those credits need to be accounted for on your 941 (for Monthly schedule depositors) or on your Schedule B (for semi-weekly schedule depositors).

For more information, see the new Form 941 and Schedule B instructions here, or contact your tax accountant:
