Archiving Estimating Files

SOLVED

Good day everyone

Can someone please tell me the best way to archive estimating files, and store them on the hard drive to maybe retrieve later.

I am thinking of storing the estimate by year and of course the Database would have to be store also.

We are running version 22.1 SQL

Thank you for your answers

I would say there really isn't a Sage provided archiving all in one step tool.

You can move branches and estimates around to perhaps an archive named branch (folder) under your All Estimates database tree with manage estimates.  You can also export estimates there as well under manage estimates to your file system, but those estimates remain in the catalog.

You can if given appropriate rights use management console to backup to your file system in a neat zipped format any or all of your databases such as estimates, address book, standard databases and external report databases.  I note the help for that here:

    Estimating management console

Perhaps you could create an archived estimates database with management console where you would then import your archived estimates that you had previously exported to your file system or backed up from your active estimates database.  This giving you always access, but not by default - you'd have to change your configuration to read the archived estimates data server.
